Annete Artawearness

Ok so this is my first piece complete for my artawearness show. Those of you who read my journal will know all about that, if you dont an dwant to know, check out my journal a few entries back or message me and I will give you all the juicy details!! Anywhoo this is the piece for Annette (one of my models) even though I am the one in the photo...which kinda sucks (the photo) because it was taken by a random person in my class during my critique on the piece.

So now for the specs of the piece.
Made out of 100% black cotton minus the main part of the skirt which was some random fabric I found in my mothers fabric bin. I think it is a poly rayon mix though...it is much heavier than the cotton. All the prints on the piece I designed and silkscreened. I drafted the pattern myself (so there will be no finding the pattern in Fabricland or something!!) and put the entire piece together in about... I'd say 8-10 hours. There are 22 D-rings, one buckle donated from an old belt, a handmade belt on the skirt flap, and meters upon meters of black and purple ribbon. The boots I did not make but they worked with the outfit for the critique so I wore them....and they are super smexy.

There will be an actual photoshoot done for each of my models seperately and all together once all the pieces are done so you all will be able to see the pretty ladies who are gracious enough to take the time out of their busy schedules to perform my work.
